Volunteer coaches are a vital part of many YMCA programs. Programs such as Girls on the Run, STRIDE and Youth Fall Soccer are successful when great people share their time and talents.
Would you like to hear “Coach” added to your name? Here are a few opportunities:
Girls on the Run Fall 2017 Coaches
Girls on the Run is a life-changing program for girls in 3rd-5th grades. The program combines training for a 3.1 mile event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting, and educational workouts.
Coaches need not be runners; they just need to be individuals that want to be a positive influence and who are committed to developing and celebrating our youth. To learn more and to sign up as a Girls on the Run coach at one of our sites, click HERE.
STRIDE is a fun running program for boys in 3rd-5th grades. Boys have the opportunity to express their thoughts and opinions about various life topics in a safe, encouraging environment that helps expand their character while building their running endurance to complete a 5K or 3.1 mile event.
Being a coach is a fun and easy way to change lives. You do not have to be a runner to be a STRIDE coach. We welcome both men and women who have the time, energy and willingness to make a difference. STRIDE sites meet two times a week for 10 weeks. To learn more, contact Sarah Dowell at email@example.com.
Youth Fall Soccer Coaches
Fall soccer takes the kids outside for games held on Saturday mornings. Our 2017 season will begin on August 21st and ends October 21st.
Volunteer soccer coaches are needed! Bond with your child as you coach their team! Coaches will conduct one practice per week and be present at games and will be responsible for contacting players about practice and game times. Want to be that positive role model? Contact David Martin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
