Sports Supervisor-  Do you enjoy sports?  Come be a part of a great team at the Mattoon YMCA and help make a difference in the youth of our community!  The Mattoon Area Family YMCA is looking to hire a Sports Supervisor to help with both youth and adult basketball and indoor soccer programs.  Please email resume and cover letter to bfairchild@mattoonymca.org

Essential Functions include:

1.  Review player area and euipment condition to assure a safe enviroment. Assure all equipment is on site and set up.

2.  Meets with coaches and captains to assess individual player and to discuss special situations to assure quality experience for all players.

3.  Assure all games begin on schedule.

4.  Keep score for games and running clock as needed.

5.  Assist official with making and maintaining calls.  Use proper hand signals (mechanics) when making calls.

6.  Explain calls to players as age appropriate.

7.  Complete score sheets in a timely manner.

8.  Assures program is conducted in accordance with YMCA Sports Programs rules.

9. Assures that the program is conducted in a safe and consistent enviroment by maintaining an atmosphere that avoids conflicts and arguments.

10  Other duties as assigned.
