Adult fitness classes are for ages 14 and up. 11-13 year old youth may attend with a parent. See Youth Fitness Programs for classes for youth.
Below is a description of each of our fitness classes offered. To see a current class schedule, please follow this link.
Intensity Chart and Music Volume for our Y classes
Low (L) Heart rates will remain low but will increase above resting. No impact. Low music volume.
Moderate (M) Heart rates will increase above walking level. None to low impact. Moderate music volume levels.
High (H) Heart rates will increase to higher training levels. High Impact. High music volume (not to exceed recommended limit of 90 dB).
*** Some classes may mention a FIT card being required. Most of our fitness classes are free to our members, but a few premium classes do have a fee. A FIT card will cover those classes. FIT cards may be purchased as a single use card or a punch card of 10 classes. FIT cards are available to both Y members and non-members.

Class descriptions with expected intensity levels
Beat Blast (L,M,H)
Workout to the beat with this fun, high energy, not fancy or dancy class that includes cardio, strength and flexibility exercises using a variety of equipment. Variations will be shown for all fitness levels.
The original Les Mills barbell class will sculpt, tone and stregthen your entire body-Fast! The REP EFFECT, a break through in resistance workout training, focuses on low weight loads and high repetition movements. You’ll burn fat, gain strength and quickly produce lean body muscle. FIT card required for this paid class.
Circuit Blast (L/M/H)
If you like a variety, this circuit style interval workout alternates strength and cardio exercises. Each week the equipment and format will vary…you will always be guaranteed to work every muscle group as well as get the heart pumping! Variations will be shown for all fitness levels.
Cardio Kickboxing (M/H)
A combination of aerobics, boxing and martial arts- one of the most popular fitness trends to hit the gym in recent years!
Core Yoga (L/M)
Sculpt, strengthen and stretch with this combination class of Pilates and Yoga. Exercises will challenge your strength and lengthen your muscles to hep develop a lean and well-rounded body.
We are bringing group fitness to the treadmill! This 30 minute sweat session combines the heart benefits of cardiovascular training with the fat burning benefits if interval training. You can pick your pace on the treadmill as a coach guides you through various exercises off the treadmill. This is a great workout designed for all fitness levels.
Intense cardio workout with great music. The instructor leads the class through various positions on the bike to provide the best workout. There are sprints, hills, jumps, and other various techniques that make your ride a fun calorie burning experience.
Exercising muscles around the core, CXWORX™ provides the vital ingredient for a stronger body. A stronger core makes you better at all things you do from everyday life to your favorite sports. All the movies have options, so it’s challenging but achievable for your own level of fitness. During the 30-minute workout, trained instructors will guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weigh plates as well as body weigh exercises. (FIT card required
This is a low impact level basic aerobic class for all ages that uses floor work only kto improve cardiovascular fitness. This class does use light dumbells for muscle conditioning. It is designed to accomodate beginning level fitness and older adults.
HIIT Camp (M,H)
This class will have burpees, squats, push ups and more. High-Intensity interval training is incorporated into a boo tcamp style workout to help you torch calories and burn fat.
Intro to Yoga (L/M)
This class is designed to take you through the basics of yoga, introducing the principles of sound practice including pranayama (breathing), asana (postures fostering flexibility and muscle strength) and dhyana (meditation). The whole person is addressed in this class which helps relieve muscle tension and pain, circulatory issues, stress and fatigue.
Power Yoga (L,M)
Designed for anyone wanting more in their yoga practice, Power Yoga focuses on the breath as you move from one asana to the next, energizing and strengthening your body, mind, and spirit. Stretch, broaden your postures with the adaptations as needed, and deepen your practice each week. Class ends with restorative postures and quiet meditation.
Precision Combat (M,H)
Registration is required for this program that runs in 7 week sessions. This program was originated and designed by practitioners from mixed martial arts, Muay Thai kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In this class you will punch, elbow, knee and kick pads that a trainer partner holds for you, which equates to the perfect mixture of high intensity cardio, strength training and low impact resistance that has proven results.
Mid-Day Yoga (L/M)
This gentle yoga class will focus on postures, breath, and mindful meditation to promote strength, flexibility, balance and relaxation of the mind and body.
Morning Cardio (L/M/H)
In this class the instructor will use a variety of fitness formats such as dance aerobics, step, circuits,a nd interval training to improve cardiovascular conditioning as well as a variety of equipment for muscle conditioning. The instructors will show beginning levels and advanced levels to exercises.
PiYo speeds up everything-including your results-by introducing dynamic, flowing sequences that can burn some serious calories at the same time as they lengthen and tone your muscles and increase your flexibility. With every action-packed PiYo session, you can burn excess fat and sculpt and define your whole body.
The TRX suspension trainer is the main tool in this class. You will experience a new form of resistance training that uses a wide variety of body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and joint stability. Class runs in two months sessions and registration is required. FIT card required for this paid class.
Beginner Tai Chi (L)
Tai Chi is often described as meditation in motion. Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. This beginner class will focus on moves to combine later into a form.
Tai Chi (L)
Tai Chi is a rhythmic Chinese Martial arts form that utilizes the whole body creating excellent circulation, balance and respiratory response.
Yoga Flow (L/M)
Appropriate for all levels of yoga ability, from beginner to advanced, this class will guide you through various yoga poses, stretches and relaxation. Using breath to transition and move, Yoga Flow will tone, restore and nurture your body.
ZUMBA® FITNESS (M/H)
Zumba® Fitness is a Latin inspired, dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and International music and dance movements! The class format combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle toning benefits. FIT card required for this paid class.
