This includes programs in our Fitness Area. Please view youth sports and community programs as we offer a variety of ways to keep kids active and involved.
The name says it all. Join our instructor as she breaks down a song completely. At the end of class you will put it all together to create an awesome dance routine. Songs will range be mainly hip hop and pop but may vary style. Meets Tuesdays at 6pm for a 45 minute class. For ages 8+. This class is free to Mattoon Y members and offered to non-members who pay a daily guest pass fee. Youth Guest Pass Fee;$5.
Toddler Gym (for 2-5 year olds)
Children will be involved in a vareity of different activities including games, songs, and exercise. The goal of the program is to take your child through different movement skills using songs to help your child develop coordination while at the same time having lots of fun. Caregivers are encouraged to stay and help when the class meets. Friday (11:00-11:45am) This program you must register by purchasing a one time card or a punchcard.
Cheer Clinic (for ages 8 to 13 years old)
This 10 session program will go over the basics of cheerleading: basics, tumbling, stunts, dance moves, cheers, etc. At the end of the 10 session program the participants will have a routine to perform their friends and family. Performance dates: February 15th and March 4th

Youth Speed and Agility Clinic
This six week clinic is designed for young athletes between the ages 8 to 14 looking to improve their performance during their favorite sport. This program is led by two coaches who will lead drills to improve speed and agility.
Registration Dates: December 9th-January 29th
Program Dates: January 29th-March 5th
Days/times: Sundays-2:30pm-3:30pm (ages 8-10)
Sundays-3:30pm-4:30pm (ages 11-14)
