STRIDE is a fun running program for boys in grades 3 through 5. Boys have the opportunity to express their thoughts and opinions about various life topics in a safe, encouraging environment that helps expand their character while building their running endurance to complete a 5K or 3.1 mile event.
Over the course of 10 weeks, trained volunteer coaches will meet with the boys twice a week, for 75 minutes. They will weave important topics and discussion into fun games and running activities. All shapes, sizes, and abilities are celebrated and welcome.
Our fall 2018 season begins the week of September 3 and ends the week of November 12. Registration opens on August 1, 2018. Space is limited to 15 boys per site, and registration is on a first come first serve basis. The $100 fee includes 20 lessons, healthy snacks, program shirt, water bottle, celebration 5k, and an end of the season celebration. Program financial assistance is available to families in need. Complete application and $10 non-refundable deposit required at registration. Deposit will be applied to program registration.

BECOME A COACH
STRIDE is run almost exclusively by volunteers, being a coach is a fun and easy way to change lives! Each site requires 3-5 volunteer coaches. We provide all the required training and coaching supplies. You DO NOT need to be a runner to be a coach. We welcome both men and women who have the time, energy, and willingness to make a difference. Interested? Email questions related to coaching STRIDE to Sarah Dowell, Community Programs Director.
