Welcome to the Y!

At the YMCA, we are focused on providing opportunities for healthy living. If you want to add some variety and challenge to your fitness routine, or if you’re just starting on your health journey, group fitness at the Y is for you! Group fitness classes help you achieve your health and fitness goals while you make friends and have FUN!

Walking into a new group fitness class can be intimidating, but the Y team is here for you! Our instructors will help you make modifications that will prevent injury while you’re on your fitness journey. We strive to bring our members the most highly sought after group fitness opportunities, so schedules are traditionally updated quarterly.

Due to the COVID-19 situation, spaces in our group fitness classes are limited. Reservations are strongly encouraged in order to guarantee your spot. View our current schedule of classes below. COVID-19 Restrictions

We can’t wait to see you in class! Please remember:

  • Group fitness classes are currently only open to members. No guest passes.
  • Registration is required for classes. Registration for classes opens 72 hours in advance.
  • Register by downloading the Mattoon Area Family YMCA app (link at bottom of page), or click on any class in the calendar below.
  • There is no towel service. Please bring your own.
  • Water fountains are closed- bottle fillers are available. Please bring your own bottle.
  • Please bring your own yoga mat. We do have mats available for purchase.
