THE HEART OF OUR MISSION

The Mattoon Area Family YMCA is committed to helping ALL people realize their full potential and grow in spirit, mind, and body. The Y is here to serve people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and incomes. We believe that our programs and services should be available to everyone. Membership for All is a sliding fee scale that is designed to help individuals and families take advantage of everything the Y has to offer.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME

Membership for All provides assistance to youth, adults, and families based on individual needs and circumstances. Assistance can be used for any membership level, or for most programs such as swim lessons and youth sports. This assistance is made possible through the hard work and generosity of our volunteers and donors through our Annual Campaign.

COMMITTED TO OUR COMMUNITY

All Y members receive the same membership benefits, regardless of whether or not they are receiving assistance. Y members can feel great knowing that they are involved in an organization that cares greatly for the health and well-being of all people. At the YMCA, we are committed to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Y offers more than programs and services, we ensure that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.

GETTING STARTED

Get started today! Simply bring the following information into the Mattoon YMCA and ask for a Membership for All application:

  1. A copy of your most recent federal tax return (1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ). Please black out Social Security numbers.
  2. Proof of household income. Most recent two pay stubs from all current employers for each working adult.
  3. Government assistance letter (recent SSI or other government assistance award letter, disability checks, food stamps, unemployment ) showing how much monthly income you receive.

We handle all applications confidentially.

COVID-19 TEMPORARY MEMBERSHIP ASSISTANCE 

If you suffered a job loss or other loss of income during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re here to help. Bring in proof of job loss or loss of income, and we will provide three months of membership assistance. We need each other now more than ever.
