This class will give you all the training needed to become an American Red Cross Lifeguard. Participants Must be 15 by the last day of the class, pass all pre-requisites, perform all the skills with 100% accuracy, and pass the written test with 80% accuracy.

Eligibility
Open to everyone from ages 15 to 99

Requirements
Must be able to pass pre-requisites. Pre-requisites: *Swim a 300 yards continually (freestyle and breaststroke with rhythmic breathing) *Tread water with no hands for 2 mins *Swim 20 yards, surface dive 8-11ft water, retrieve 10lb brick, return swim within the 1 minute 40 second time limit.

This class will train you in First Aid/CPR/AED for Adult, Child, and Infants. Class is 4 hours in length and requires you to perform physical skills. In order to be certified you must participate in all skill sessions and scenarios, demonstrate competency in all required skills. Class is held at the Y Community Room.
